Annual Flora-Bama Mullet Toss

Head on over to the World Famous Flora-Bama during the last weekend in April for a fun and exciting weekend of tossing mullet! People from around the country meet on the white sand beaches of the Florida/Alabama line to test their fish-tossing skills and party on the beach. Admission is free. The cost to participate is $20 and includes a 2018 Mullet Toss t-shirt.
NCAA Volleyball Championship
May 3-6
Watch some of the best collegiate volleyball teams in the country compete in the NCAA Volleyball Championship on the Gulf Shores public beaches, located right next to the Hangout. Grab a seat right in front of the action as they bump, set, and spike their way to victory. Tickets are $20 per day for GA, $30 per day for courtside seating, $45 for all-session GA, and $70 for all-session courtside seating.
Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival

The Tanger Outlets in Foley present the 14th Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival this May 4 & 5. See 30 hot air balloons from across the country take to the skies in an amazing spectacle. Meet the pilots and learn about the balloons at this fun, family-friendly event. Visit the carnival, shop local vendor booths and watch the Disc Connected K-9 World Famous Frisbee Dog Show put on a “gravity-defying” display. Admission is free. Balloons only fly at dawn and dusk.
