Local Easter Activities

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Date: Saturday, March 31

Time: 8 a.m.- 10 a.m.

Location: Erie Meyer Civic Center

Details: Join the City of Gulf Shores at the Erie Meyer Civic Center Saturday morning as they host a full breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs, and pancakes. The first 50 children will receive a complimentary photo with the Easter Bunny. Cost is $5 per person. Children age 3 and under are free.

Easter Egg Hunt & Kids’ Fun Day

Date: Saturday, March 31

Time: 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Location: Flora-Bama Lounge & Oyster Bar,  17401 Perdido Key Dr. Perdido Key, FL 32507

Details: Hunt for over 5,000 eggs hidden on the sandy beaches at the World Famous Flora-Bama. Children will be divided into age groups to guarantee fair hunting. Admission is free but guests will need to bring their own baskets. Take pictures with the Easter Bunny, Mr. Big Ears, and enjoy crafts, games, and face painting.

Spring Fling

Date: Saturday, March 31

Time: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Location: OWA, 1501 South OWA Blvd. Foley, AL 36535

Details: Visit OWA this Saturday for coloring, balloon artistry, and face painting. Take pictures with Mr. & Mrs. Bunny in OWA’s Downtown District, The Park at OWA, and OWA’s Island. Activities are free but admission to the Park is required.

Cottontail Express

Date: Saturday, March 31

Time: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Location: Wales West Light Railway, 13670 Smiley St. Silverhill, AL 36576

Details: Bring the family to Wales West RV and Light Railway this Saturday for the 13th Annual Cottontail Express. Take a ride on the Dame Ann to the Bunny Hutch. Take pictures with the Easter Bunny, make your own bunny ears, and hunt for hidden eggs. Enjoy refreshments, mini-train rides, bounce houses, hay-less hayrides, and a playground at the train station. Petting zoo and pony rides are a small fee. Tickets are $15 per person. Children age 2 and under are free.

 

Easter Sunrise Services

Sunrise Service at the Hangout

Time: 6:30 a.m.

Location: 101 E Beach Blvd, Gulf Shores, AL 36542

Join the Gulf Shores United Methodist Church for a casual Easter service with a delicious gourmet breakfast to follow. Message to be delivered by Rev. Glenn Butler. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, or towels for extra seating.

Sunrise Service at the Flora-Bama

Time: 6:30 a.m.

Location: 17401 Perdido Key Dr. Perdido Key, FL 32507

Everyone is welcomed to the Flora-Bama Easter Sunrise Service. The service will be held under the ten on the beach behind the Flora-Bama. Chairs will be available for the first 600 and guests may also bring their own.

Sunrise Service at the Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion

Time: 6:30 a.m.

Location: 22250 East Beach Blvd. Gulf Shores, AL 36542

The Orange Beach United Methodist Church will be hosting its Annual Easter Sunrise Service at the Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion. Rev. Jim Kinder will deliver the message. Rev. Jim and Donna Mullis of Unity Church of Gulf Shores will open the service with a greeting and prayer will be offered by Rev. Dr. Larry Wood, pastor of St. Andrews by the Sea on Fort Morgan. John Lee Sanders, our Unity Gulf Shores Musical Director will lead the Loxley gospel group, Endurance, in song.
